Emotional Eating is quite simply, eating to supress or soothe negative emotions we experience.
Emotional Eating is a very common problem but only some of us that are aware that we do it and even fewer know what to do about it.
If you have trouble losing weight, put weight straight back on after dieting, crave certain foods and experience sudden hunger, you may be an emotional eater.
This presentation will be an overview about what emotional eating is, how we can identify it in ourselves and what strategies we can use to reduce it.
Anxiety is a very common state that most of us experience on a daily basis. It is fuelled by our increasingly busy lifestyles, the media, social media, peer pressures and more.
Anxiety presents with different symptoms to different people but all these symptoms have one thing in common – they feel unpleasant. Anxiety also stops one from experiencing life to the full and being present in life.
The good news is that with awareness of anxiety, we can do many things to decrease those unpleasant feelings that anxiety brings. In doing so, we can improve our quality of life and feel happier.
In this presentation, we will learn about what exactly is anxiety, why we have it, how to recognise it and the implications of it. We will also explore of some of the various methods that can be used to reduce anxiety and thus help us enjoy our lives more.
The presentation will involve some practical exercises so bring along some examples of what causes you to feel anxious.
