Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) is a short term therapy that allows deep change work.
This
kind of therapy gives particular attention to relationships – our
relationship with others as well as our relationship with ourself.
CAT
also provides the opportunity to explore, understand and make changes
to the repeating patterns we can find ourself in – including those
patterns that resist our best efforts to change.
CAT
is an integrative therapy, so it can bring in lots of different ways of
working to create the changes that you want to focus on (some of the
approaches I use are anxiety management techniques, relaxation,
mindfulness practices and EFT).
This whirlwind tour of CAT will introduce the main features of the therapy and give you a way to explore some of its aspects for yourselves in a safe, fun way using fairy tales and an unexpected contribution from Gromit (of Wallace and Gromit fame).
