I hope you can help? As a participant of this workshop, I want to share some ideas and exercises that when practiced will make you happier.
My request for you is to share these ideas and exercises with people in your life. My idea is sharing what easily makes us happier will in a small way make the world a better place. Thank you!
Many people often feel unhappy and more often than not this is not a good thing. Why not? We are habit making organisms who’s habits are constructed over time. We are massively influenced by our environment and how we react and respond to this.
By understanding a little bit about the differences between memory and experience ( Daniel Kahneman ) and utilising what and how we use our bodies consciously, and this is the key, conscious effort, just a few minutes a day, can change our complete outlook, to rewire thoughts and thinking patterns is amazing.
Did you know while reading this you have either shaked your head yes or no, in considering this information? Those who have nodded agreement, within this short description, are most likely to attend. How we physically respond to a suggestion is one topic of this workshop. Another topic is how we focus attention, so that means prioritising what is valuable in the moment.
Hope to see you here.
We have all heard about positive thinking and how we need to look after our mental and physical well-being.
How many of us actually take time out for ourselves it are busy lives to do just that?
In this workshop we will be looking at the mind and body connection in our everyday life, how it impacts us in a positive and negative way and how simple changes in one or the other can improve both.
We will look at simple yet effective examples of small changes in body position can help both physical comfort as well as have a dramatic effect on your mood.
We will work through the circles that bind us, negative body postures, habitual patterns etc that stop you living in and enjoying the moment and activities that can bring further balance into your life.
We will be exploring ways to allow you to get the most out of your body in a safe and pain free way that in turn will allow your mind to be free from emotional binds that you back.
So if you have chronic pain in your back, shoulders, knees or just injuries that you would like to work on, join me to see how much better you can feel.
Do you often set yourself targets or goals, only to find that they are impossible to meet or that life just gets too busy to make time for committing to the goals?
When this happens, you may find that you beat yourself up and use internal dialogue that can be really unhelpful. This in turn usually means that you end up stuck and not being able to progress towards the goal.
The inner chatter of a busy or confused mind then intensifies what may have started out as a straightforward task into something that may now seem impossible.
In this taster session from the Refresh and Recalibrate day, you will be guided through some strategies to identify alternatives to setting unachievable goals and how to deal with diversions along the way as well as being kinder to your inner self if things don’t go according to plan.

When we are in a happy state we usually find that we have more resilience in dealing with everyday tasks.
For some people a happy state seems to come naturally and for others they strive to gain happiness from other people or future situations that they are looking forward to.
During challenging or difficult times, it is sometimes hard to access a happier state which can make problems or difficulties seem bigger than they actually are.
When we interact with other people, how we come across impacts on the relationships that we form. When we are in a happy state the connection that we make with others is often much richer and our behaviours are often reflected back at us.
Happiness heightens our capacity to learn. Consider how a child learns through play and with that enjoyment they are able to absorb more information. This is something that can dissipate as we move through the school system and through work as we are moulded to present ourselves in a formal manner.
During this session, there will be demonstration and practice techniques on how to create a happier state. This session will give you strategies that you can use to access resources within you to have happier state when you need it.
This is the Laughter workshop – 45 minutes of serious laughing – this is the workshop that will leave you smiling for days and is a perfect way to round off the ChangeCamp experience.
