Presentation: Introduction To C.A.T

Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) is a short term therapy that allows deep change work.

This kind of therapy gives particular attention to relationships – our relationship with others as well as our relationship with ourself.

CAT also provides the opportunity to explore, understand and make changes to the repeating patterns we can find ourself in – including those patterns that resist our best efforts to change.

CAT is an integrative therapy, so it can bring in lots of different ways of working to create the changes that you want to focus on (some of the approaches I use are anxiety management techniques, relaxation, mindfulness practices and EFT).

This whirlwind tour of CAT will introduce the main features of the therapy and give you a way to explore some of its aspects for yourselves in a safe, fun way using fairy tales and an unexpected contribution from Gromit (of Wallace and Gromit fame).

An experiential workshop for those who know how to tap (EFT).

Here we will be learning and using a extremely simple and effective technique taken from Matthew’s new book, ‘The Eternal Moment of Now‘.

The fundamental purpose of this technique is to orientate the client’s attention to the present moment in time with respect to their presenting issue. We will cover the basics of the technique, a little background and then get into using it – so bring along a present time problem and you’ll get the chance to tap it out!

Matthew utilises the principles of Clean Language and Emergent Knowledge, and is pioneering this particular method and more – So come along and learn something new and exciting.

Stress

Sometimes life can be stressful and distressing.

If you would like to learn a simple way to reduce your levels of stress and distress then this short introduction to Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) or “Tapping” might be just what you need.

EFT is a deceptively simple process that literally taps into the body’s own soothing response to reduce the power of unpleasant emotions.

In this brief introduction Andy Hunt (EFT International Accredited Master EFT Trainer) will show you have to use this technique to reduce the stress and distress you feel in everyday life.

He will also describe some of the other ways of utilising EFT to heal trauma, soothe the inner child, dismantle self-criticism and generally be more at peace with ourselves and our lives.

By the end of this presentation you will have a simple effective process at your fingertips to deal with the simple stresses and distresses of everyday life.

You don’t need any previous experience of EFT to attend.
