Presentation: Spring Forward With The Retreat People

The green shoots of Spring are emerging and the days are getting that little bit longer so perhaps it’s time to peek out and take a fresh look at life as we move into 2020.

For the very last time The Retreat People would love you to join us for a mini Relaxation Retreat taster session at the end of your inspiring Spring Change Camp day.

As ever it will be a real opportunity for renewal and fresh starts, or at least a time to breathe fresh life into old projects, attitudes and our approach to life.

Our mini retreat is the only workshop today in which you are expected to do nothing – what’s not to like – a power point free zone where no thinking is needed …. just time to really relax and blow away the cobwebs so we can make space to welcome in that much needed peace of mind.

In our workshop we might use guided relaxation, mindfulness & meditation techniques drawn from our expertise utilising Hypnotherapy, EFT, NLP, Performance Coaching & maybe even a little bit of Laughter Yoga to help everyone relax, drift off to who knows where and simply enjoy the moment.

So ready to welcome in the joys of Spring?

To Enjoy Your Session Please Bring:

  • Comfortable clothing you feel relaxed in
  • Lightweight cosy blanket or cover – some people like to lie on floor although chairs will also be available
  • Your Teddy Bear & Slippers as ever are optional!
  • Just bring your desire to relax, chill out & simply enjoy yourself.

As the seasons change it’s time to turn our attention yet again to the opportunities and gifts of Autumn ahead. Where has 2019 gone? It’s been such a busy year! Does it feel like there’s been no time to stop and catch your breath. What with juggling family, home, business & work demands pulling us in different directions, stress just seems to finds a way to take hold and get a grip before we know it!

Time to down tools & retreat in mind. The Retreat People are back at Change Camp to help get things back on track with a mini retreat in mind so you can just relax and fully enjoy the fruits of the Autumn season. Allowing yourself time to pause and be still is priceless in managing that unhelpful or overwhelming stress which so easily takes root in these hectic & challenging times.

It seems that in a blink of an eye 2018 has run away with us it’s been such a busy year. It can feel like there’s been no time to stop and catch your breath.

With family, home & work demands pulling us in all directions stress finds a way to take hold and build up before we know it!

But never fear The Retreat People are back at Change Camp to help get things back on track with a mini retreat in mind so you can just relax and fully enjoy the fruits of the Autumn season.

Allowing yourself time to pause and be still is a gift in managing any unhelpful & overwhelming stress that has taken root in these hectic & challenging times.

The Retreat People, Chris & Sue are professional Clinical Hypnotherapists who specialise in using their expertise in Hypnotherapy & other psychological interventions to help people of all ages, from tots to teens & beyond, deal with the harmful effects of unwanted stress, worry & anxiety utilising Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness Meditation, Relaxation & Breathing techniques to manage the unwelcome impact of stress in our lives.

As ever our relaxation workshop is perfectly timed at the end of the Autumn Change Camp day to give you time to simply pause, take a breath & reflect on your day. So are you ready just to relax in mind?

Our Autumn Mini Retreat session is simple – your time to just let go, you don’t have to do a thing ….. no thinking involved, just come along, switch off and enjoy some simply powerful relaxation & stress management mindfulness techniques designed to recover that all important balance & peace of mind.

Presentation: Laughter Yoga And Dabke Dance

Laughter Yoga And Dabke DanceKeith Adams who has always brought Laughter Yoga to Change Camp is unable to attend the Spring 2018 Change Camp and has handed over the reins for this Change Camp session to Karen Mills and Tahira Aslam who will present Laughter Yoga, combined with Dabke Dance.

Laughter Yoga is a unique exercise using movement and laughter as well as the breathing of yoga. Laughing for no reason energises the mind and body based on the idea that fake laughter can lead to real laughter and yet the brain does not know the difference between them. Practiced regularly, laughter can have health and social benefits.

Learn to dance dabke while you are in the session too. Dabke is a middle eastern dance, often danced in a line or a circle, with people holding hands. It is usually enjoyed at weddings and other festive occasions. Dancing is great for co-ordinating the mind-body, and dancing dabke is a fun, socially shared experience, which has proven to be good for the mind and body, reducing both stress and tension and improving happiness levels at the
same time.

What are you celebrating today?

The session will consist of Laughter Yoga followed by Dabke Dance and then relaxation meditation.

No previous experience of either Laughter Yoga or Dabke Dance is required and the session is open to all and the aim of the session is to have fun
